Kaptain Carbon Argonath’s late 2016 release was interesting since it concerned itself with the not too distant lore of celtic history and mythology. Journey to the Otherworld is similar not just in theme but also in presentation. Instead of opting for a full blown story which has become routine for the genre, Argonath settles for a survey on a variety of topics which becomes a tableau of ancient memories and dreams. Favorite track: Conn of the Hundred Battles.

about

"Argonath settles for a survey on a variety of topics which becomes a tableau of ancient memories and dreams" - Hollywoodmetal.com

"An interesting instrumental and ambient record arrived from Ireland with the scent of an eighties dungeon crawler, starting with Runequest or Conan comic. A work where synthesizers join the medieval and traditional Irish music." - Donnierock.com

'Journey to the Otherworld' is a collection of tracks that center themselves around the land of Ireland during the Iron Age, in which pagan beliefs made for curiosity about life and death. These songs aim to recreate atmospheres of battle, death, life, rituals and love as a mortal and the ongoing curiosity one would have of the Otherworld.
